Asking the woman of your dreams to marry you is incredibly nerve-racking. The amount of mental and spiritual preparation involved is pretty heavy. “Will you marry me?” - a question that can change one’s life forever.
Proposing to Chelsea was thrilling, emotional, and surreal. I planned out a pretty amazing proposal if I don’t say so myself, AND I was brave enough to record it on video. If you want to check out how I proposed to Chels, check out the video HERE. For those of you who may not know, Baily is my little sister-in-law. I refer to Chelsea’s siblings as my own. I rarely say “in-law” because Baily and her brother Presston truly feel like my siblings. Baily and I have had so much in common from the beginning of my journey of dating Chelsea and meeting her family. We’re both musicians, we both were involved in worship-leading, and much, much more.
Matthew did a great job planning his proposal to Bay. Last October, Bay was gearing up for her Senior Recital at TROY University. A couple of weeks leading up to the recital, Matthew filled us in on his plan to propose to Bay after she finished her recital. As soon as Bay came out for her curtain call, Matthew had the ring and a bouquet ready, gets down on one knee, and the rest is history.
Fast forward to Thanksgiving 2016, we took a family trip to an awesome camp in Tennessee. The scenery was gorgeous, the climate was perfect, and we had an absolute blast. Matthew and Baily had asked Chelsea and me to take their engagement photos while we were at the camp. The leaves were changing, the cool mountain air was gently blowing, and they truly made it easy to get these amazing images. As Matthew and Baily’s wedding date rapidly approaches, Chelsea and I are eager and excited about their big day. We know how waiting for the wedding day is hard, but it is most definitely worth the wait.
