Little girls dream of the day that they can wear a beautiful white dress to walk down the aisle to marry the man of their dreams. For this beautiful young lady, it was no different. She met a boy in college and fell in love. Down in the South, the expectation is to get married at a "young" age and start your life journey. So last Fall Matthew proposed to Baily and decided to get married the week after she graduated college. This is totally normal for us Southern Belles. Joey and I got married 3 weeks after we graduated college.
We celebrated the upcoming vows with a hair and make-up run through (something I strongly encourage) and trying on this beautiful gown. She had the opportunity to wear her gown and practice smiling a bunch to prepare for what her wedding day would hold. She was a trooper.
Sometimes us girls just want to feel pretty. Having her bridal portraits done a month before the wedding gave us a glimpse of the beauty that would radiate on her actual wedding day.
"Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish." Ephesians 5:25-27
This gown was without blemish. It was pure and clean. It was new. Christ blesses up with the opportunity to be made pure, clean, and holy when we accept Him into our lives. Guys love your wives the way Christ loves us. Cherish her. Value her. Be her leader.
